Handful

“You’re a handful.”

“Oh, I just had a small handful of chocolate chips.”

“I added a handful of cheese.”

It seems a handful varies according to what is being held. I’ve spent my whole life thinking I’m a handful, yet the chocolate I indulge in seems to be a much different handful that I think of myself as being.

Instead I have a handful of these rocks that I’m all too comfortable stoning myself with.

Why?

Because I am a handful.

I think it’s time to change my perspective. Maybe instead of holding tight to the stones I so readily throw I should hold tight to jewels.

What if each time I was about to throw a

“You’re not good enough”

“You’ll never make it”

“Who do you think you are?”

“Worthless”

I instead chose to throw a

“You are more than enough in Him”

“I can do all things through Christ”

“I am a child of the KING”

“Worth It.”
