Discovering Extraordinary Grace in an Ordinary Life

Do You Long to Travel but Feel Like You Can’t?

I used to travel. I embraced new places with joy and excitement. But then life happened. And now I head to the store or the school and wonder if I’ll ever leave a fifty mile radius again.

Have you ever felt that way?

  2. Hi Becky,

I enjoyed reading your suggestions for making travel possible. It hasn’t always been easy to get away for our family but we have LOVED taking day trips and learning how to make close bits memorable. It took a while, and our kids had to grow a bit, but I am grateful that we didn’t miss those opportunities to create memories even if we didn’t go to those big vacation destinations.
    Great post!

Hi Dawn! It’s so great to hear that families can find joy in traveling close and being together even if far and away travel doesn’t work for a season. Those are such precious memories that you’ll always have!

Cheryl, I can’t imagine how it feels to long for my mom that way. I pray God fills those moments when you miss your mom with a love only He can give!
