Discovering Extraordinary Grace in an Ordinary Life

My Favorite Family Books to Read & Give

One of my favorite things is enjoying a book with someone I love. Picture books, board books, chapter books, it doesn’t matter. A page with beautiful words is enough.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe — I could never tire of this beautifully crafted fantasy about four siblings in Narnia, a magical land. It makes an excellent read aloud and provides wonderful faith illustrations.

The Dot & Ish — The simple beauty of these books is the way kids relate to them and feel inspired by them. Absolutely wonderful gifts!

The Giving Tree — A reminder about friendship through all the stages of life.

Fantastic books for the whole family at My Ink Dance!

Snuggle Puppy — Delightful board book filled with a sweet puppy, beautiful illustrations and lyrics, and encoruages plenty of snuggles!

The Velveteen Rabbit — A classic tale about the power of love and what really matters.

The Little Prince — Creativity and imagination abound as the boy tries to find his way through the world without losing his sense of wonder.

About Becky Hastings

I am emotional and logical. I am strong and dependent. I am a juxtaposition of head and heart exploring it all through writing. And in all my mixed-up ways I am loved. I'm here to tell you that you are, too. Just the way you are.

I could still sing it for you if you’d like 🙂

  2. Your article about words is a good one. Besides being a writer I am a person who likes to read. Reading is a part of my daily routine. Educational or entertaining, whatever, books open up a whole new world and I would encourage everybody to get a good book to read.
