Discovering Extraordinary Grace in an Ordinary Life

My Year in Review 2017

The end of the year leaves me feeling a bit nostalgic, and this year is no exception. Days have a way of turning into weeks into months into years, and if we never stop to look at the beauty of each, we miss out.

I often think about the things I’ve learned, sharing them with you each season. But I find the end of the year a time to celebrate and look at the bigger picture.

I find it hard not to start here and cheer wildly. It still amazes me, not because of what I’ve done, but because of God. He took my broken places, my nevers, my fears, and wove them into something beautiful. And now it’s out there in the world helping people believe that they are WORTHY!

My writing mindset has shifted from uncertain hobby to purposeful and professional. It doesn’t mean I have all the answers, but it means I’m going in the right direction. It’s both exciting and terrifying. And I’m learning to be ok with that.

My Ink Dance has had some minor redesigns, and I look forward to keeping this a place of grace that serves you well. If you ever have thoughts or suggestions, I love to hear them.

You have played a part in this process, this learning to serve God and walk out a calling. I hope My Ink Dance has helped you draw closer to God in the same way.

About Becky Hastings

I am emotional and logical. I am strong and dependent. I am a juxtaposition of head and heart exploring it all through writing. And in all my mixed-up ways I am loved. I'm here to tell you that you are, too. Just the way you are.
