Discovering Extraordinary Grace in an Ordinary Life

Do You Long to Spend Time with God but Don’t Know How to Really Make it Happen?

Have you ever thought you should spend more time with God, but don’t know how to really make it happen?

Lately, I have felt a disconnect and longed (desperately) for a way to shake it.

You can spend time with God in the middle of your real life. Don't miss this at My Ink Dance!

I wanted to want to spend time with God.

I wanted to enjoy my time with God.

I didn’t want it to be a resolution or a checklist, but a genuine, soul time with my Creator.

But all the wanting in the world wasn’t making it happen. Life seemed to take over and that longing was pushed to the side behind the pile of mail to sort and the laundry. Some days I couldn’t even remember it as I was grabbing my keys and running out the door.

Can you relate?

I told you recently about my Word of the Year, and I knew something had to change. Not just for me, but for you. So I made us something special.

About Becky Hastings

I am emotional and logical. I am strong and dependent. I am a juxtaposition of head and heart exploring it all through writing. And in all my mixed-up ways I am loved. I'm here to tell you that you are, too. Just the way you are.

  2. These words are a powerful reminder of the importance of dwelling in God’s presence daily. This is something I am trying to be more intentional in. I was spending time reading my Bible and even praying, but I was neglecting to let my heart dwell in the presence of the Lord. Great reminder!

Yes! You describe what so many of us do when we make our time with God something on a checklist. Connecting our heart to the Father is the most important part!

  3. Love your word and I love dwelling in His Word. I could do it all day every day. What a great ministry tool you’ve developed. Blessings.

      Thanks Debbie!

  4. What a beautiful word. Dwell conjures up quiet stillness for me. A chance to free my mind of the junk that swirls in there constantly. Your course sounds amazing!

    1. Becky Hastings

Yes! It does free us in so many ways. I hope you join me for the course!

  5. Dwell for me is a word that is linked with abide (He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will abide in the Shadow of the Almighty)
I’m such a do-er, that I need frequent reminders that God loves ME, not my works, so it’s good to read words about dwelling in that truth.

Amen Michele! I love that verse!

  6. I know what you mean about wanting to being different than making it happen. I put my priorities in the wrong order all too often!

  7. So excited to see this rolling out. 🙂 I know you put so much heart and time into it. I pray the Lord blesses your efforts with His favor. xoxo
